Tulsi- Ocimum Sanctum, a blessing

Tulsi also known as Ocimum Sanctum is found very commonly in every Hindu house in India.  It has been a symbol of culture and religious inclination of a Hindu family.  In today’s time, having Tulsi in your house has become a necessity for everyone with various viral infections such as H1N1.

For 5000 years in Indian Ayurveda system, Tulsi also called as Basil has been the most sacred aromatic perennial shrub. But as Swine flu and many other viruses flying in our atmosphere, it has become mandatory for us to take health precautions on daily basis. Taking Tusli and ginger tea every morning keeps our respiratory system strong enough to fight against such dangerous viruses. Irrespective of religion, it has been a health need now. Protecting our nose, throat and further down to respiratory system, this herb helps even in digestion and killing harmful bacteria of the intestine.

Chewing 5-6 leaves every morning or taking Tulsi tea is the best beginning of the day.  Take care…
