Paralysis is a symptom caused as an after effect of damage to Nervous System. Damage to nervous system is caused by metabolic dysfunction or infection.

In Ayurveda, diagnosis is much more important than treatment. Depending on the causes, the treatment is applied. In case of metabolic dysfunction, such as hypertension or diabetes, it is mandatory to bring the blood pressure and sugar level to normal. At the same time, the patient is benifited very much by Ekangveer Rasa, Nirgundi Oil massage on affected areas and Brahmi Ghrit Nasya along with the blood pressure suppressant and sugar balancing therapies. In our opinion, based on levels of pressure and sugar in the blood, the balancing treatment should be given. In most cases, Anulom Vilom pranayaam, Kapalbhanti Pranayaam and Sheetali Pranayaam done early morning on daily basis for at least 2-3 minutes each helps oxygenation and rejuvenation to brain cells and it clears the blood thrombosis and improves nervous system fantastically.

Let us give you an excellent exmple – A 67 years old lady, obese, got a stroke in January this year and she is back to normal in March. It is not a magic. It is dedication towards doing daily Pranayaam, little bit of physio and taking right medication. At this age, what she wants is confidence of handlign herself on her own, which she got back.

Another example of an infant affected by poliomyelitis at the age of one ye. When mother noticed that her child who was able to walk before a fever spike is not able to walk anymore after the fever is treated comes to us asking for help. It was good that she took Ayurvedic help at an early stage. Within just 30 days of medication, little bit of physio and massage to the affected areas of the child’s body, the child recovered. It was not a magic. It was a discipline and faith on herbal medicines of the mother, which gave a normal life to the child. Indeed, mother is the greatest creation of God! And of course, indeed – Ayurveda!!

A thrombus can block the flow of blood through a vein or artery, and can detach from the vessel wall to become a life-threatening embolus when it lodges in the lungs or other vital organs, such as brain, or heart.

Deep vein thrombosis is a common symptom in persons travelling in long distance flights, which sometimes leads to pulmonary embolism as well. It is life threatening. To avoid Pulmonary Embolism, Pranayam is the ultimate practice. In general also, doing Anulom Vilom Pranayam and Sheetali Pranayam helps keep the lungs breathe enough oxygen in every breath and it is extremely effective in avoiding many cardiovascular disorders.

To avoid DVT, brisk walking in fresh air is the best practice one should perform irrespective of your age and profession.

However, in certain chronic conditions, we have excellent remedies depending on the symptoms. Treatment with appropriate diagnosis helps better in Thrombosis. General treatments may not be as effective as it should be. So please feel free to contact us at doctor@ayurvedagroup.com for a free consultation.

It causes sudden heart attack, brain damage and kidney damage. Causes:
- Regular use of high sodium food
- Sedentary lifestyle
- Consistant digestive problems such as gastric trouble, acidity
- Inheritance / genetic

Mode of treatment:
- Diet control
- Exercise / Yoga
- Medicines

1. Diet control – avoid high sodium and high calorie food intake. Salad vegetables, fruits, boiled food and lots of water keeps the patient happy all throughout.
2. Exercise – 20 minutes brisk walk after each meal of the day and every morning. Yoga – Simple Kapalbhanti Pranayam is to be practiced each morning empty stomach for at least 2-5 minutes. Regular practice of Surya Namaskara is also very effective in young patients.
3. Medicines – Sootshekhar Ghanvati – 2 tabs 3 times a day and Arjuna Chhal with Anaardana (Pomegranate) is very effective.

Avoid Hyerptension as much as possible, as every spike of high blood pressure slowly, silently and steadily damages major organs such as heart, brain, kidney, lungs and liver. It is in your best interest to be light and happy all the time to avoid high blood pressure. Good luck, folks…
