Diabetes Medicine is dangerous for Health

New research shows that the primary medicine, Avandia, taken for years in Type 2 Diabetes causes high risk of death, heart failure and stroke.

Instead, simple Ayurvedic herbal treatments that we recommend, can bring down the Sugar levels. Lowered sugar levels prevent kidneys, eyes and nerves from damage and weakness caused due to Diabetes.

Amla, Jamun seed, Fenugreek seeds, Bilva Patra and Arjuna are some of the ingredients in our treatment. Each of these are helpful in protecting nerves, muscles, tendons, eyes, brain cells and entire metabolism; in addition to bringing down the sugar level. The action starts right from the Liver and Pancreas, where accumulated obstacle results in blockage of Insulin secretion. The tube secreting Insulin from Pancreas gets cleaned and helps release pure Insulin, which mixes with blood and helps in reducing glucose levels. Hence it also helps in absorption of vitamins, calcium and protein in the body from the food that we intake.

Why risk added complications to your health (such as weak heart or kidney failure or glaucoma) when you have Type 2 Diabetes. Treat yourself with Ayurvedic medicines for Diabetes – live longer and healthier.

Diabetes Treatment

In Ayurveda, the treatment for Diabetes is extremely effective and in 85 % of the cases, it can be completely treated. There are two major medications that are used in the treatment of Diabetes – Cow urine and herbs.

Karela, Neem, Jamun, Amla, Haldi and many other ingredients are giving fabulous results. However, cow urine actually makes the pancreas active and gets natural insulin secretion so effective that the patient feels better much faster.

What does these herbs and cowurnie actually do?

The actual effect of these herbs are as below:

- Balancing the metabolism

- Reducing glucose level from urine and blood

- Controlling frequency of urination and strengthening bladder muscles.

- Balancing the digestive enzymes in such a way that it reduces the desire for water and food comparatively and helps absorb the nutrients of the food taken in timely manner.

- Providing strength to the muscles in the extremities.

What does allopathy medicines do in Diabetes?

- Control glucose levels by inducing external insulin

It does have severe and slow side effect on liver, kidneys and eyes, which causes damages in the inner cells over the period and never provides strength to the other organs which get weaker due to weak metabolism.

Diabetes Education

On this day,14th November,  when the founder of  “Insulin”, Frederick Banting, was born, let us educate ourselves about Diabetes a bit more.  Today, approximately 220 million people are suffering from Diabetes around the world. Observing the type of lifestyle that we have nowadays, this number is estimated to be double by 2030.

Diabetes is of two types. Type 1 is Diabetes Insipidus and Type 2 is Diabetes Mellitus. The Type 2 is most common amongst us.

Simple causes for us to consider:

- Heriditory – if anyone in family, such as parents, grandparents, brother or sister has it, you are more likely to have it.

- Diet – High calorie diet on regular basis with high frequency in a day causes obesity and in turn Diabetes

- Luxurious lifestyle – No physical exercise on daily basis causes obesity and diabetes

- Intake of high sugar drinks under stress – Taking more cups of coffee, cappuchino, espresso or tea or soft drinks and carbonated drinks in a day with high sugar in it causes diabetes. This is found in office class working people.

- Tobacco use under stress also causes diabetes.

Simple signs to identify Diabetes:

- Frequent urination with sweet smell

- Increased thirst and hunger

- Sudden weight loss

- Giddiness or heavy head feeling

- Frequent tingling numbness in hands and feet

Simple treatment methods:

- Diet control

- Physical exercise with Yoga and Pranayaam

- Appropriate medications of Ayurveda only.

Let us talk about it more as we go on.

World Diabetes Day – 14th November 2009

This day is marked as International Diabetes Day by the International Diabetes Federaiton and WHO. The theme for this day is “Diabetes Education and Prevention”. Diabetes is a disease in which our body do not produce enough “insulin” which can digest and absorb necessary sugar in the body.  Hence the sugar is excreted in mixed in the blood and urine as an external factor causing many painful symptoms indifferent parts of the body.

Diabetes is not a disease of the old. In the last decade, the incidence among people in the age around 30′s has jumped up by 70 %.  Anyone can suffer from Diabetes. There are few factors that increase risk for diabetes, such as family history, lack of physical exercise in daily routine, excessive sugar and salt intake and high emotional and mental stress levels.

Warning signs of Diabetes are frequent urination, increased thirst and hunger, weight loss, tingling numbness in hands and feet and in some cases giddiness and heaviness in head.

Paralysis? Come Back to Normal

Paralysis is the complete or partial loss of one or more muscles in the body. Paralysis is a symptom caused as an after effect of damage to Nervous System. Damage to nervous system is caused by metabolic dysfunction or infection.

In Ayurveda, diagnosis is much more important than treatment. Depending on the causes, the treatment is applied. In case of metabolic dysfunction, such as hypertension or diabetes, it is mandatory to bring the blood pressure and sugar level to normal. At the same time, the patient is benifited very much by Ekangveer Rasa, Nirgundi Oil massage on affected areas and Brahmi Ghrit Nasya along with the blood pressure suppressant and sugar balancing therapies. In our opinion, based on levels of pressure and sugar in the blood, the balancing treatment should be given. In most cases, Anulom Vilom pranayaam, Kapalbhanti Pranayaam and Sheetali Pranayaam done early morning on daily basis for at least 2-3 minutes each helps oxygenation and rejuvenation to brain cells and it clears the blood thrombosis and improves nervous system fantastically.

Let us give you an excellent exmple – A 67 years old lady, obese, got a stroke in January this year and she is back to normal in March. It is not a magic. It is dedication towards doing daily Pranayaam, little bit of physio and taking right medication.  At this age, what she wants is confidence of handlign herself on her own, which she got back.

Another example of an infant affected by poliomyelitis at the age of one ye. When mother noticed that her child who was able to walk before a fever spike is not able to walk anymore after the fever is treated comes to us asking for help. It was good that she took Ayurvedic help at an early stage. Within just 30 days of medication, little bit of physio and massage to the affected areas of the child’s body, the child recovered. It was not a magic. It was a discipline and faith on herbal medicines of the mother, which gave a normal life to the child. Indeed, mother is the greatest creation of God! And of course, indeed – Ayurveda!!

Obesity? We can help

There are quite a few ratios such as age and weight, height and weight etc, which makes one realize about overweight symptom. Obesity is a metabolic disorder, which causes simply because of the luxurious lifestyle and wrong food habits. However, this metabolic imbalance causes many other disorders such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Arthritis etc.

Many advertisements and flyers that we come across everyday tell us about the help that is available for obesity problem. Yes, regular exercise, yoga aasans, Pranayam, diet control and quite a few medications are helpful giving good results in short time.  However, most of the time, it is seen that once you leave the efforts of  weight loss, you tend to gain the same weight back.

Reduction in the weight loss efforts must be followed by some routine habits, if not all.  Such as if you are going to gym and doing aerobics for 45 minutes and now gained satisfactory weight, you still need to keep at least 20 minutes of walk after every meal, which will help the metabolism. If you have been on diet control and gained the loss of weight as much as you expected, you tend to eat all high calorie food again. You may do so once in a while and drink hot water with lime in it immediately after you finished that high calorie lovely meal of yours.

And of course, Yoga aasans and Pranayam that you were doing to reduce weight, even if not Yoga aasans, you must practice Kapaalbhanti Pranayam on daily basis for at least 5 minutes.

Diabetes? Live with confidence

Diabetes is a metabolic disorder seen commonly in societies with luxurious but stressful lifestyle.

Common causes:
- Sedentary lifestyle with lesser physical exercise and more mental stress
- Irregular and unhealthy dietary habits
- Heriditary / genetic

Modes of treatment:
- Exercise – 45 minutes walk twice a day after meal
- Diet – avoid sugary, high calorie and fatty food intake
- Medicines – some very simple ones …
a). Juice of gooseberry fruit, bitter gourd and neem leaves daily before tea / coffee or anything in the morning
b). “Chandraprabha vati” 2 tabs twice daily before meal.

And you are fine. You will most likely not have to take any insulin ever and you can also protect your kidneys and eyes for a long long time without getting any side effects of insulin tabs or injections.

Many Yoga asans are suggested in Diabetes type 2, such as Kapalbhanti Pranayam, Bhujangasan and Ardha Vakrasan. Regularly practicing these asans (specially in the morning time – empty stomach) increase metabolism and increase release of natural insulin from pancreas so well that you will never feel the need of insulin.

Quote

"Health can be maintained and disease can be prevented. Though technology is advancing, people are still falling sick. Health care costs keep on increasing, and there is no way to reduce that unless you introduce prevention. The best prevention is through Ayurveda, because it is a very comprehensive system, since it is based on natural medicine, which is devoid of toxicity."
- Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, Hon’ble former President of India spoke about Ayurveda.
