Tennis Elbow – successfully treated!

Tennis Elbow

In my practice, I have one more success to add. Got a female patient of 39 years old suffering from right hand Tennis Elbow for about 2-3 years. Bhavana had severe pain, rigidity in the arm and was not able to handle anything from right hand, such as weight lifting, cleaning, cooking etc. She had hard time driving her two-wheeler due to this. Her routine was busy and she really needed help.

When I checked Bhavana, she also had some accompanying symptoms of acidity, constipation, and irregular menstruation. My complete examination took about 30 minutes of personal discussions with her. The treatment started immediately. Pancha Karma with Purva karma was main agenda and within one week, she felt the rigidity has reduced a lot. She felt the ability to move hand in most of the directions. After one more week of Snehan and Swedan, Bhavna felt very relieved. In her words – ” …I have felt this good after years…”

Third week treatment agenda was completely based on dietary supplements, preventive measures and rejuvenation of health. It helped her balance her life so well, she could resist praising Ayurveda with whole heart.

Under my guidance and supervision, regular usage of Rasna, Guggulu, Castor oil and many other medications with appropriate dietary supplements, Bhavna recovered from Tennis Elbow and many minor health complaints within just 3 weeks of medication. And I feel good!!!

Diabetic Abcess – gone forever!

Diabetic Abcess

At the age of 43 years, Shailu, a young, dynamic, active and a busy Civil Engineer was suffering from Diabetic abscess for about 2 years. He took Allopathy treatment in the beginning to balance blood sugar and took antibiotics to treat the abscess, when first time he got two. He recovered after 3 weeks of medication and just after three days, he got a new one…

Now he was in a lot of pain and really frustrated with antibiotics, as those medications used to disturb his digestion severely. Now he approached an Ayurvedic Physician. However, the Physician could not provide medications, which can help him recover fast. This affected his profession and due to stress, his blood sugar level got affected again. It went on like this for almost two summers and one winter.

He approached me for a second opinion on Ayurvedic medications that he was taking. I advised him to continue the same, but add one ghee early morning empty stomach and some application such as neem and turmeric on the wound / abscess. Indeed, some changes to his diet, daily routine and Pranayam was added by me.

This time, it took only 18 days instead of 3 months to recover. Now after complete medication of 30 days, he is not getting any recurrence of abscess. He is able to pay attention to his profession and his blood sugar level is also balanced with the continuing Diabetic herbal preparations. In his wife’s words – “….He is as active and busy, as he was before and his moods are fine too…”

Genetics, Disorders, and Staying Healthy

Genetics, Disorders, and Staying Healthy

I  have had many patients asking me, if my parents had Diabetes do I have a higher likelihood of getting diabetes.   Unfortunately, yes, diabetes is hereditary. Where things shouldn’t be is – the parents had the disorder at the age of 60-65 years and when is the younger generation getting  it? At the age of 40 years? Why?

Most of metabolic disorders have genetic background. But there is a big role of your own physiology to play a role in your metabolism. Every individual has been advised by the physicians often to

  1. eat light,
  2. exercise,
  3. eat good food and not junk food,
  4. eat veggies, eat fruits, eat fibres, etc.

How many actually follow these disciplines without breaking them.

If one makes a mistake in dietary habits once in a while, it can be still corrected.  But if we these mistakes are made often and the rules get followed just once in a while, then we are inviting metabolic disorders in our body way before their scheduled time.  In the aviation world, this would be classified as before time arrival.   A positive happening for passengers,  but not in the context of getting disorders.

So the simple tricks to remain healthy are eat good food, exercise, maintain a positive attitude, consume lots of water and healthy drinks, and wash out your digestive systems once  in every 15 days.   No matter what age you are, you must follow these things to remain happy and healthy always.

Good luck to all readers!

Diabetes Medicine is dangerous for Health

Diabetes Medicine is dangerous for Health

New research shows that the primary medicine, Avandia, taken for years in Type 2 Diabetes causes high risk of death, heart failure and stroke.

Instead, simple Ayurvedic herbal treatments that we recommend, can bring down the Sugar levels. Lowered sugar levels prevent kidneys, eyes and nerves from damage and weakness caused due to Diabetes.

Amla, Jamun seed, Fenugreek seeds, Bilva Patra and Arjuna are some of the ingredients in our treatment. Each of these are helpful in protecting nerves, muscles, tendons, eyes, brain cells and entire metabolism; in addition to bringing down the sugar level. The action starts right from the Liver and Pancreas, where accumulated obstacle results in blockage of Insulin secretion. The tube secreting Insulin from Pancreas gets cleaned and helps release pure Insulin, which mixes with blood and helps in reducing glucose levels. Hence it also helps in absorption of vitamins, calcium and protein in the body from the food that we intake.

Why risk added complications to your health (such as weak heart or kidney failure or glaucoma) when you have Type 2 Diabetes. Treat yourself with Ayurvedic medicines for Diabetes – live longer and healthier.

Ayurveda – Body types

Ayurveda – Body types

I get this question very often from my patients, quote – “This product suits my husband very well, but I am allergic to it…” ” Particular medicine works on her so well and it is ineffective for me…, why?” unquote.

Yes, we all have same human body, but cell constitution is different in all of us. We all are made of Panch Mahabhoot, Sapta dhatu and Tridosh. We all carry different taste, different thinking, liking and much more. As per Ayurveda, human body metabolism works on Tridosha. In every season, every 24 hours, we feel higher levels of Vata, Pitta and Kapha dosha one by one. All doshas exist in our metabolism and helps at decided times of the day and season fo the year to run our body machine effectively. However, we all have typical constitution, which is called Prakriti. According to Prakriti, a person carries a particular type of personality.

Vata Prakriti Person is usually active, fast, instant decision maker, small eater, thin hair and grey nailed person with thin body structure. Pitta Prakriti Person is usually short tempered, red eyed, thin hair and yellowish white skin toned, fast, good listener, good absorption capacity holder and thinker. Kapha Prakriti person is usually a slow eater, slow acting person, thorough thinker, good decision maker and good memory holder person. There are mixed personalities too such as Vatapitta, Kaphapitta, Pittakapha, Vatakapha, Pittakapha, Pittavata and some are tridoshaj. Even in mixed personality percentage of each dual doshas differ. So we all carry different personalities and body metabolism.

According to our body consitution, some food products are very suitable and some are less. Similarly some herbs are effective in cold for most of the people and some are not at all. So Ayurvedic medicines are to be given only after complete Prakriti examination and a thorough diagnosis. Ayurveda Diet

Ayurveda Diet

I can write a whole book on proper diet as per Ayurveda. As I have written earlier, dietary habits can be general. In my posts earlier, I have talked about some broad guidelines on proper diet. But a balanced diet differs from male to female, pediatric age to geriatric age and for each Prakriti and each season. It also differs in persons suffering from metabolic disorders and persons living in particular environmental conditions.

Diatary habits, sleeping habits and morning and evening routines can be defined very well for general welfare. However, as per modern science, a balanced diet is also a standard formula. It must include vitamins, carbohydrates, protein and minerals. Be it any season and any constitution, fruits, vegetables and carbs are necessary in diet. Quantity and quality can differ however. Protein in two meals is also necessary. Good source of Vitamin E in the form of dry fruits is must in breakfast to keep neurological disorders away.

So overall, we must absorb all Vitamins, minerals, protein and carbs in 3-6 types of meals depending on your routines, age, gender, constitution and metabolism.

For your suitable diet consultation, please feel free to write to us at doctor@ayurvedagroup.com or call us at 1.407.965.5473.
